Work Experience

Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in hospital / nursing home administration, preferably in an NABH accredited healthcare facility

Job Purpose
This position's main role & responsibility is to oversee the overall administration, operations, compliance, and service quality of a NABH accredited nursing home, ensuring smooth functioning, regulatory compliance, patient safety, and high standards of patient care and satisfaction.

Patients and Patient Attendants, Doctors and Consultants, Nursing Staff, Paramedical Staff, Housekeeping & Security, Vendors, NABH Coordinators, HR and Finance Department

Main Responsibility
Main job responsibilities of Nursing Home Administrator are as follows (but not limited to):

  • Overall administration and day-to-day operations of the nursing home.
  • Ensure continuous compliance with NABH standards, policies, SOPs, and documentation.
  • Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, and paramedical teams for efficient patient care delivery.
  • Monitor bed occupancy, patient flow, admissions, discharges, and OT scheduling.
  • Supervise support services including housekeeping, security, laundry, dietary, and biomedical waste management.
  • Ensure patient safety, infection control practices, and emergency preparedness.
  • Handle patient grievances and escalations effectively as per SOP.
  • Oversee procurement, inventory control, vendor management, and statutory compliances.
  • Coordinate internal audits, quality indicators, mock drills, and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Manage manpower planning, duty rosters, discipline, and coordination with HR for staffing needs.
  • Monitor billing processes, collections, cost control, and coordination with finance department.
  • Liaison with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and external agencies as required.
  • Ensure readiness during inspections, audits, and accreditation assessments.
