The Cytopathology Division at Ashok Laboratory specializes in the microscopic examination of free cells and tissue fragments obtained from solid tissues, exfoliates, or body fluids. This process helps determine the cause and nature of diseases, aiding in accurate diagnosis and clinical decision-making.
While cytopathology focuses on the study of individual cells or fragments, histopathology involves examining entire tissue sections that are processed and fixed onto glass slides. Together, they provide complementary insights into disease detection and characterization. The department is NABL accredited, ensuring compliance with the highest standards of quality and reliability.
